Pre-move vulnerability analysis

Modern players, even excellent ones, are too busy playing actual chess to properly consider the implications of their pre-moves. As a result, a large majority of professional games contain pre-move-related errors or missed chances. Here are a few selections from a recent tournament on chess.com. I have added a fictitious variation where one player realizes that the other player is planning to pre-move, and takes advantage.
